The two Social Media Tools I think would be of most benefit to a library are: Facebook: Using Facebook can be an effective way for academic libraries to connect with their user community. By posting updates on Facebook, libraries can inform their users about the library’s programmes and services. They can invite students to attend training sessions, post practical information about the library’s opening times, link to new and existing print and online resources, and update the university community about any new developments. 'Followers' can engage with the library by commenting on posts and sharing them with their friends. Question 10: Commenting on another blog

I commented on Gary's social media blog. I said: I'm Jamie. I have lived in Sydney's Inner West all my life. I really enjoy Library and Information Studies and the Multimedia/Social Media subjects are my absolute favourite subjects.

Question 9: Changing the arrangement of my blog

The changes that I made were: Click on edit in the Navbar Gadget and configured the colour to Transcendent Light. I configured the header to include a description about the blog. I added a picture of a dog paw behind the title and description. On Sidebar-right-1 I switched the Blog Archive and Contributors around. I also edited the Footer Attributions to include Jamie De Paulo 2017 and to have a picture of a lion. Then I clicked on Save Arrangement.

Question 8 Changing the look of my blog

I clicked on Themes in the bottom left hand corner. Then I clicked Customise also in the bottom left hand corner. My blog was the on first Brown Watermark and then I changed it to the second Blue Picture Window. Then I clicked Apply to blog in the top right hand corner.

The information outlined on the Facebook page is about the events and collections held at Stanmore and other libraries in the Inner West area. https://twitter.com/IWCouncil- This is the Twitter account on Stanmore Library's website. It contains information about the local community, the history of the community and the different collections in the library. This also offer an opportunity for the local community to stay in touch with each other. https://www.youtube.com/user/MarrickvilleCouncil- This YouTube page covers all events, history and local art works that have been done by the community. https://www.linkedin.com/company-beta/642620/- This LinkedIn page is a professional network for all employees at Inner West Council to keep up to date with what is happening within their library and for employees to keep in contact with each other.
